At the end of the 4th session of the Ad Hoc Committee for the draft of complementary regulations, a body of the Human Rights Council, both Europeans and the US vetoed every recommendation on those topics which clash with their growing discrimination and xenophobic behaviors, reminds Cuba's Permanent Mission in Geneva.

The text denounces the rebirth of anti-immigrant and racist political parties and associations.

Washington and the EU also opposed listing on the agenda for the next session media bias and new technology, nurturing racial, ethnic and religious hatred.

Despite the importance of this committee for most of the countries it work has been undermined, preventing the arrangement of -as a priority- regulations to complement existing international Laws on the affair, says the communiqué, mentioning as example the three previous sessions.

Cuba, together with the African countries and many other developing countries, criticized their contenders whose hypocrite double standard keeps diminishing the duties of such important Committee.
