Havana.-Cuba's baseball fans had to wait until the last game to know what eastern teams qualified for the playoffs.
Finally Las Tunas, Ciego de Avila and Granma reached the quarterfinals, trailing Villa Clara, while Santiago de Cuba disappointed its fans with the unexpected loss to Mayabeque, reads the note on Granma daily Monday's run. The Play-offs begin Tuesday with the match Industriales-Cienfuegos (Latin American Stadium, at 17:00) and Matanzas-Sancti Spiritus (Victoria de Giron, 20:30). |
