HAVANA, Cuba.-Cuba will participate for the first time in the Consular Fiesta of Lyon, France, where different countries will be represented at the famous Bellecour Square from June 8th through the 10th.
The initiative, organized by the city's government, gives diplomatic representations there to promote their respective countries. Jose Antonio Garcia, Cuba's general consul to France, pointed out that the Caribbean island will participate with its art in the festival's inaugural and closing galas, the www.cubaminrex.cu Web site reported. Under the slogan "Around the World and around the Mediterranean," this fiesta will include the performances of the music groups Tentacion and Pedrito Calvo Junior and his Orchestra. |
