 Havana.- The traditional March of the Torches with which Cuban youth annually honor National Hero Jose Marti will take place Wednesday night in this capital, the day before of his 157th birth anniversary.
Today's march will be from the Havana University staircase to the monument known as Fragua Martiana, one of Marti memorial sites. Activities as the traditional Marti parades, talks, concerts, and literature and plastic art contests will take place on the occasion of his anniversary. The first march was held in 1953, the year of Cuban hero's 100th birth anniversary. |
