HAVANA, Cuba.-The 5th International Congress on Education and Special Pedagogy will open its doors on Tuesday at Havana's Convention Center, with the presence of over 150 delegates from Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean.
On Monday, Cuban and foreign experts attended the pre-congress courses scheduled, covering topics like inclusive education and pedagogical practices in Cuba and family and community training, as well as exchanges on special and primary teaching, among other activities.
Cuba will show its experiences in its conception of inclusion as the essence of this attention, Doctor Santiago Borges, director of the Latin American Reference Center for Special Education, told ACN.
The meeting will include the 2nd Symposium on Primary Education entitled "Primary Schools opened to Diversity," in which experiences accumulated by Cuban experts, beyond special education schools, will be presented.
