| UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education to Visit Cuba in February |

HAVANA, Cuba.-Qian Tang, the Assistant Director-General for Education of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will participate in the International Congress University 2012, scheduled for February 13-17 in Havana.
According to an official statement from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UNESCO representative will give a key lecture on February 16 during one of the sessions of the event. During his stay in Cuba, Qian Tang will hold meetings with Education Minister Ena Elsa Velasquez, and with Higher Education Minister Miguel Diaz-Canel. In addition, he will visit the University of Havana and schools associated to UNESCO in the Cuba capital. Qian Tang is a UNESCO official since 1993 and this will be his first visit to Cuba. |
