Havana.-Cuban President Raul Castro attends the 8th plenary session of the National Assembly of People´s Power (Parliament) taking place at Havana´s Conference on Friday.
During the meeting, the projects of the Economy Plan and the State Budget Law for 2012, and the performance of both aspects in 2011 will be discussed. The reports of the People´s Supreme Court and the Attorney General´s Office of the Republic of Cuba are also expected to be analyzed on Friday. A report from the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation, as well as the result of the work carried out by the International Relations, Industry, and Construction commissions, were also presented at the Parliament plenary. The 12 permanent commissions of the Parliament held meetings on December 20 and 21 in which they analyzed economic, social, and juridical issues, among others. |
