Moscow. - The Russian editorial Algorithm signed today in Cuba's embassy in Russia an agreement on transfer of rights to publish the title "Fidel Castro: Aggressive States of North America".
The publication is based on a selection of reflections that the leader of the Cuban Revolution has been publishing since March 2007 in Granma Newspaper and the Cuban forum Cubadebate.
The book, which will come next December, will feature a selection of 106 ideas in 422 pages of text in Russian language, an introductory note to the Russian public and images provided by the Publications Office of the State Council.
With this new edition, three Russian private editorials publish books in the course of a year based on the political thought of the leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The previous books were "Fidel Castro: my life or biography in two voices", by journalist Ignacio Ramonet, which remained at the end of 2008 and for five weeks as the biggest seller in Russia, and "Reflections of the Commander in Chief," another best seller with high demand in the political and academic world.
The editorial director of Algorithm, Sergei Nikolaev, expressed his desire to continue the publication in Russia of Cuban authors working the genre of political essays, historical and philosophical, akin to the profile of the publisher.
Nikolaev travels to the Cuban capital in February, where he will attend the International Book Fair of Havana 2010, with Russia as the guest of honor.
